2021 Aries New Moon starts Dragon Month

April 9, 2021 § Leave a comment

April 11 2021 at 7:31 pm PDT is a new Moon in Aries. Fire sign Aries is a brave pioneer who takes dynamic action. The new Moon, Sun, Mercury, and Venus are all in Aries for boldness, passion, and courage this lunar month. Energy is with you to make progress and open new doors.

The Aries new Moon and Sun make a harmonious sextile with Mars in Gemini and Jupiter in Aquarius. Mars brings strength and stamina to more easily focus on your health and wellbeing. Jupiter brings good fortune, and new opportunities to be effective. Your partnerships with others can yield positive outcomes, and all will learn from new experiences.

Venus trines Mars for love and romance this spring. This aspect is very favorable for relationships of all kinds, and is good for personal creativity. Your close relationships can deepen with increased appreciation, and new relationships can develop and blossom. Jupiter sextiles Venus that is agreeable for taking a vacation, or staycation due to Covid. It’s easier for you to be benevolent with others, and to be at peace with the world.

The new Moon, Sun, and Venus square Pluto in Capricorn. Relationships can become deeper and more profound. Your feelings can gain momentum; however be aware to avoid emotional power struggles. If you experience a relationship conflict, this lunar cycle can be time to mend it and to invoke healthy behaviors. Contact me for your tarot reading, astrology forecast, or feng shui consultation.

This new Moon begins the month of the Water Dragon, the black Dragon, when issues of power and control may arise. Dragon is considered to be very fortunate, and is the bearer of rain in springtime. The Water Dragon brings Water qualities of sensitivity, creativity, and sensuality. Anticipate that people will be more emotional this month. Just seeing friends after a year of restrictions can arouse deep feelings.

Dragon can be small as a silk worm or large enough to fill the entire sky. For the big picture, this Water Dragon month in this Ox year is ideal for home improvements, especially now when there are no planets in retrograde.

A feng Shui tip for Dragon month is to fix something both small and something big. Start by removing minor irritations such as a rug that slips in the hallway. Fixing small things can remove small irritations in life, and make room for the big things.

Happy new Moon,

Susan

Sunday March 28 2021 at 11:48 am PDT is a full Moon in Libra. Air sign Libra rules the 7th house of marriage and partnerships. Focus is on ensuring balance in your close relationships during this full Moon, and for the next two weeks as the Moon wanes down until April 10.

There can be equilibrium in your life whereby demands of the outer world are in balance with emotional needs. What used to pull in opposite directions can be stabilized. It’s easier to make progress because there are no retrograde planets until April 27 2021.

In relationships, compassion is key during this Rabbit lunar month, the time for kindness and gentleness. The full Moon is opposite the Sun conjunct Venus. You can enjoy and appreciate the company of loved ones, with opportunities to make up from past difficulties. Sun and Venus sextile Saturn to stay steady, fair, and not over commit. Contact me to schedule your tarot, astrology, or feng shui consultation about your next steps.

Mercury conjuncts Neptune in Pisces to communicate with feelings, not just words. People are more receptive to subtle influences, empathy is increased, and for some their psychic abilities are strengthened this spring.

Rabbit self-expression and Libran love of peace are for all, and are most strongly felt by Air signs Libra, Gemini, and Aquarius and those born in Dog, Horse, Tiger, and Rabbit years.

2021 Virgo Full Moon in Ox Year

February 24, 2021 § 1 Comment

February 27 2021 at 12:17 am PST is a full Moon in Virgo. Earth sign Virgo rules the 6th house of health, work, and service. Luck is with you to focus on details and get organized now that Ox year has begun. This is also an opportune time to be realistic and complete those tasks you’ve been working on.

The Virgo full Moon is opposite the Sun and Venus in Pisces. If people feel emotional, especially with Covid fatigue, good relationships stay strong but weak relationships could fall by the wayside. Whatever is lost is a clearing for Ox year to not carry the burdens of others.

Springtime of this Ox year is fortunate because Mercury is no longer retrograde as of February 20, and there will be no retrograde planets until  April 27. During these no-retrograde two months, it’s much easier for you to make steady progress or open a new door. Mercury exalted in Aquarius conjuncts Jupiter and Saturn for specificity in long-range planning. Mars in Taurus trines Pluto in Capricorn for maintaining sustained effort. However, it is better to focus on one or two activities. Ox is not good at juggling multiple projects.

Contact me for your feng shui consultation for Ox year. This Virgo full Moon trines Uranus bringing vital energy to make change in your domestic environment. There is a desire for more art and beauty as the Sun conjuncts Venus. This full Moon, and as the Moon wanes down, is ideal to edit a collection or decide what to keep, sell, or donate.

Luck is strongest for Earth signs Virgo, Capricorn, and Taurus and those born in Ox, Dragon, Snake, and Phoenix (Rooster) years. It’s not too late to schedule your Ox year forecast. I can start your astrology forecast on any date of the year.

What the 2021 Year of the Ox Has In Store for You

By Samantha Vincenty

Feb 5, 2021

February 12, 2021 is the Lunar New Year, per the lunisolar calendars traditional in many Asian countries including China, Vietnam, and South Korea. The holiday of new beginnings, reunion dinners with loved ones, and Spring Festival celebrations in China also introduces the Year of the Metal Ox, marking the end of the Year of the Metal Rat. Those with an interest in Chinese zodiac animals may already know that some 2020 Rat predictions were just as unfortunate as the year turned out to be, and now, a new question looms: Will this Year of the Ox be lucky?

That can depend on a variety of individual factors. The compatibility of your personality with the traits of the Ox is affected by your own zodiac animal, according to Susan Levitt, professional astrologer, feng shui consultant, and author of Taoist Astrology. 2021 is also impacted by the fact that it’s a metal year (metal is one of the five elements of the Chinese zodiac; more on this later). Also, you may want to nail down what “lucky” means to you.

“What is the goal, what are you trying to do?” Levitt says. “And, does the energy of the Ox match with your personality or your energy?”RELATED STORIES

What Is the Lunar New Year?

11 Lunar New Year Foods and What They Mean

Still, the Year of the Ox will impact us all in a few generally similar ways, according to both Levitt and Pocket Chinese Almanac authors and translators Joanna C. Lee and Ken Smith. Here’s what they have to say about the meaning of the Year of the Ox, and a few predictions for what it has in store.

Keep your head down in the Year of the Ox.

While Levitt is an astrologer and student of feng shui, Lee and Smith get their almanac predictions from a Hong Kong-based geomancer named Warwick Wong. Long practiced in his family, Wong’s style of Chinese geomancy is a form of divination, or forecasting the future, that observes astronomical movements and what Smith describes as “other atmospheric conditions.” Wong then interprets how these impact our lives down on earth, and his daily readings offer what’s lucky or unlucky to undertake (February 12 will be good for engagements or starting a business, but bad for rituals and paying out money). But Wong also gives Lee and Smith a general trajectory for what a given year will be like.

Basically, Lee says, “it’s a holding pattern.” Keep calm and carry on as best you can in 2021, but hold off on major moves if you’re able. And in a note worth taking whether you believe in the zodiac or not, Lee relays that Wong says to “try not to be obsessive about following the news, because so much information is in the air.” Essentially, preserve your energy and your spirit.

Wishing you a happy and prosperous lunar New Year of the Ox,

Susan

2021 Leo Full Moon ends Rat Year

FULL MOON in LEO

January 28 2021 at 11:16 am PST is a full Moon in Leo. Dynamic Fire sign Leo rules the 5th house of romance, creativity, and children. This full Moon is the final full Moon in Rat year. The next new Moon begins the year of the Metal Ox on February 11. (February 12 in China.) There is much activity during these two weeks before Ox year!

The full Moon is opposite the Sun, Jupiter, and Saturn conjunct in Aquarius. These oppositions can indicate opposing viewpoints about reality, undisciplined behavior, or a sense of alienation. Fortunately, the Sun conjunct Jupiter is lucky in general, bringing generosity of spirit, and is good for expansion into new areas of study.

The full Moon and Sun square Mars and Uranus in Taurus. It’s easier to become emotional or act impulsively. Leo loves drama, so use any disruptions to create new patterns and life habits. Contact me for your tarot card reading or astrology forecast for insights, planning, and decision making as we begin year of the Ox.

MERCURY RETROGRADE

On January 30, communication planet Mercury goes retrograde for three weeks until February 20. Mercury will be retrograde in Air sign Aquarius. Mercury is exalted in Aquarius, the best sign for Mercury. Therefore, this is an ideal time to complete projects and follow up on communication. Under the influence of Aquarius, keep focus on technology.

The excitement and passion of this Leo full Moon and as the full Moon wanes will be felt by everyone, especially Fire signs Leo, Sagittarius, and Aries and those born in Rat, Monkey, and Dragon years.

Happy full Moon,

Susan

2021 Capricorn New Moon begins Gold Ox Lunar Month

January 9, 2021 § Leave a comment

Sunday January 17 at 2 pm PST join me on Zoom for my 2021 Year of the Metal Ox lecture for Chinese New Year. Tickets are at https://www.eastwestbooks.org/events/ox-year-17jan21. Come with your questions for Ox year about the fortunes for all 12 zodiac signs, and take away New Year feng shui tips.

January 12 2021 at 9:00 pm PST is a new Moon in Capricorn. Earth sign Capricorn rules the 10th house of career and finance, making this a good time to get centered with practical matters. The new Moon, Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto are all together in a planetary stellium. A stellium is a grouping of planets, and this one is in Capricorn and Aquarius bringing focus, innovation, and creative solutions.

Energy is high during this new Moon as Mars conjuncts Uranus in Taurus until February 2. Rash behavior, desire for freedom, and to assert one’s individuality can be done in a constructive way. So this lunar cycle is an auspicious time to innovate and begin a new project that will take much energy.

This new Moon begins Earth Ox lunar month, the kind and empathetic gold Ox. Extreme good fortune blesses the gold Ox. An Ox month is fortunate during a Rat year because Ox and Rat are strong allies. Ox energy brings stability and structure. Ox may be slow but is determined, and what is built will last.

This gold Ox lunar month is excellent for career prospects, and to organize and regroup. Prepare for the next new Moon on February 11 that begins Metal Ox year 2021.

Practical application of sound  principles is for everyone this lunar month, and is most empowering for Earth signs Capricorn, Taurus, and Virgo and those born in Rat, Rabbit, Snake, and Phoenix (Rooster) years. Contact me for your astrology forecast for 2021 Ox year, the time to build. Hope to see you at my 2021 Year of the Metal Ox lecture!

2020 NEW MOON ECLIPSE begins DOUBLE RAT MONTH

December 11, 2020 § Leave a comment

2020 NEW MOON ECLIPSE in SAGITTARIUS

December 14 2020 at 8:17 am PST is new Moon eclipse in Sagittarius. Fire sign Sagittarius rules the 9th house of education, philosophy, and the higher mind. Under the influence of Sagittarius, focus is on new learning, establishing values, and truth telling during this lunar month.

The new Moon, Sun, and Mercury are all in Sagittarius resulting in some very frank, direct, conversations. The new Moon, Sun, and Mercury trine Mars in Aries bringing energy to not back down from a challenge. These transits are favorable for decisive action, negotiations, and asserting your position.

The new Moon, Sun, and Mercury square Neptune in Pisces. There can be a feeling of disorientation, or allowing someone to talk you into doing something that you really don’t want to do. So avoid speculative or risky ventures. This is not the best transit for buying or selling in business, especially during an eclipse.

Plus this new Moon is a total solar eclipse at 8:15 am PST. An eclipse is an absence of light when the shadow is seen, meaning that what is hidden can come to the surface. If seeking clarity about what is obscure in your life, contact me for your tarot card reading, astrology forecast, or feng shui consultation.

DOUBLE RAT MONTH

This new Moon begins Earth Rat month until January 12, 2021. Earth Rat month in this Metal Rat year is a double Rat month. In Chinese medicine, Earth is the “mother” of Metal because metal ore is extracted from the earth. Therefore, Earth Rat and Metal Rat are very fortunate together. Anticipate a successful and prosperous time that can continue into the following Earth Ox month in January.

Rat lunar month is time to focus on the details of practical matters. Rats are logical and rarely are swayed by emotions, particularly in financial dealings. This eclipsed double Rat lunar month is an ideal time to find out all the facts and figures. Accomplish tasks in small digestible bites, like a mouse, to not become overwhelmed.

WINTER SOLSTICE the Great Conjunction

December 21 2020 at 2:02 am PST is Winter Solstice that marks the shortest day and the longest night in the northern hemisphere. Winter Solstice this year is exceptional because there will an exact conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in 0 degrees Aquarius. Air sign Aquarius brings focus on communication, information, and technology. It’s the sign of all humanity, and the connection between us all. The Age of Aquarius, the Global Village, has arrived.

Jupiter conjunct Saturn is either a time of patient and sustained growth, or a time of restless to create a new life cycle. Either way, under the influence of Jupiter, events turn out for the best. But note that Saturn transits require discipline and planning.

For most people, it’s best to stay with their current path and continue doing what  they’re doing, but do it in a new and innovative way. For a few rare birds, this conjunction is time to break from the established order to build a completely new life structure such as a new job, new relationship, spiritual path, and different world view.

Winter Solstice occurs during the waxing half Moon in Aries at 3:41 pm PST. Half Moons are time for emotional balance. Fire sign Aries brings dynamic energy to take action. Just stay balanced and don’t go overboard.

Activities and experiences this lunar month are powerful for everyone, and are most transformative for Fire signs Sagittarius, Aries, and Leo and those born in Rat, Dragon, Snake, and Monkey years.

Happy new Moon,

Susan

2020 Full Blue Moon on Halloween

October 28, 2020 § Leave a comment

October 31 2020 at 7:49 am PDT is a full Moon in Taurus. Earth sign Taurus rules the 2nd house of finances, security, and beauty. The Moon is exalted in Taurus, the best sign for the Moon.

This full Moon is also a blue Moon, the second of two full moons in a single calendar month. And this full Moon occurs on Halloween, the solar point between Autumn Equinox and Winter Solstice.

A powerful astrological influence is that the full Moon conjuncts Uranus in Taurus. Uranus aspects can be liberating, with people seeking freedom, not beingheld back or following routine.

However, people can act compulsively with a lack of discipline and little sense of responsibility. So strive to stay grounded and centered during the peak of this combative Fire Dog month.

Mercury in Libra squares Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto all in Capricorn. There can be miscommunication, especially during Mercury retrograde that ends on November 3. Problems of exaggeration and false information are more serious at this time. Be cautious in your speech, slow down for details, and recheck documents.

Contact me for your tarot card reading or astrology forecast if feeling overwhelmed by the full Moon energy.

Strength and empowerment are for all, and are most profound for Earth signs Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn and those born in Snake, Phoenix (Rooster), Ox, and Dog years.

Reader’s Digest Interview Ox Year 2021

October 28, 2020 § Leave a comment

I was interviewed for Reader’s Digest by Taylor Markarian about the year of the Ox 2021. Ms. Markarian wrote a lovely and informative article, and I enjoyed speaking with her. This article was published October 26, 2020 at Reader’s Digest online.

What 2021 Has in Store for You, Based on Your Chinese Zodiac Sign
It’s not just about what you expect from the Ox year, but what the Ox expects from you.

The year of the Metal Ox
2020 was the year of the Rat, which typically signifies renewal and the opportunity for success in new ventures. As we now know, the world did go through a distinct changing of the times, but not in the way anyone had hoped. Political turmoil, social unrest, economic decline, and a once in 100-years global pandemic severely altered our lives. While 2020 may seem like it was an epic disaster, the year of the Rat did present us with a new opportunity: to change the world for the better.

Every Chinese zodiac year is defined by one of the five elements. The upcoming 2021 will be the year of the Metal Ox, and its message couldn’t be clearer: Success will come to those who work hard. Really hard. “It’s hard work, duty, discipline,” says Susan Levitt, a professional astrologer and author of five books, including Taoist Astrology. “In agricultural societies, oxen are reliable and strong work animals. They were responsible for the survival of humanity. So what was happening in this Rat year continues over into the Ox year to complete it, ground it, bring it to its resolution.” Here’s what each of the Chinese zodiac signs can do to reap benefits in 2021, the year of the Metal Ox.

Rat
Birth years of the Rat: 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020

Next year of the Rat: 2032

These are trying times, and so a rosy picture cannot be painted for anyone. But relatively speaking, the Rat is in a good position in the year of the Ox. “Expect a year with fewer hardships and troubles because Rat is Ox’s good friend,” Levitt says. “But [Ox] is going to want a larger contribution at work. Rat is going to have to follow through and put forth a little more effort this year.” The Ox is an animal that delivers (and expects) dedicated, consistent labor. It being a Metal Ox year only emphasizes that point, as it is a firm, resolute element. Everyone will have to give it their all in 2021, but luckily for the Rat, that work is a little easier when you’re friends with the boss. Kick off the Chinese New Year by acquiring these 11 lucky things to always keep in your home.

Ox (or Buffalo)
Birth years of the Ox: 1913, 1925, 1937,1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009

Next year of the Ox: 2021

Other Chinese zodiac signs will be asked to step up their efforts this year, but for the Ox, it’s time to reap the benefits of the cumulative efforts they’ve made year in, year out. “[It will be] a positive and productive year when their hard work is rewarded,” Levitt says. “It’s also an excellent year for having a child, starting a family, and marriage for the Ox.” The Ox has paid its dues and is ready to enjoy the hard-won results. Discover the luckiest birthdates for every Chinese Zodiac Sign to see just how fortunate you may be.

Tiger
Birth years of the Tiger: 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010

Next year of the Tiger: 2022

The Tiger is one of the animal signs that will have to learn how to adjust to the work ethics of the Ox. “It can be frustrating for Tiger,” Levitt explains, “because Ox requires Tiger to work hard and become serious. But if Tiger controls their temper and isn’t too rebellious, it could be a very good year for them.” Keep your emotions in check and accept the fact that 2021 is going to ask more from you. It will be worth it, though, since 2022 will be the year of the Tiger. “They’ll be starting a new cycle next year anyway,” Levitt says, “so it’s a good time for them to complete things.” Clean up and resolve any lingering messes or projects, and follow these 11 feng shui tricks to help you beat holiday stress.

Rabbit
Birth years of the Rabbit: 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011

Next year of the Rabbit: 2023

Like the Tiger, the Rabbit may struggle in the Ox year as well. “It could be a challenge because of unrealistic standards from others,” Levitt says. “The Rabbit could feel frustrated if rewards are delayed or projects take more time than anticipated.” Ox is very much a proponent of the old adage, “Slow and steady wins the race.” Be patient and know that it’s okay if your work is not immediately rewarded. Fight the urge to make quick decisions, as Levitt warns, “[It’s] not a good time to move or make a big change.” If life starts to feel too pressured, try turning to Western astrology for the best ways to de-stress, based on your Zodiac sign.

Dragon
Birth years of the Dragon: 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012

Next year of the Dragon: 2024

The year 2020 was—again, relatively speaking—a lucky year for the Dragon. But in the year of the Metal Ox, don’t assume everything will be handed to you at once. “Expect a year of steady progress in the reaping of activities begun in the previous Rat year,” Levitt says. “Under Ox’s influence, Dragon must work, not just dream.” Wishful thinking is nice, but in the year of the Metal Ox, it won’t get you very far if you don’t stay focused and grounded. It may be helpful to do a little research and learn why dragons are so important in Chinese culture.

Snake
Birth years of the Snake: 1917, 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013

Next year of the Snake: 2025

The Snake will be slightly better off in 2021 as compared to 2020, the year of the Rat. “Snake in Ox year is fortunate because Snake is in a harmony triangle with Ox and Rooster,” Levitt explains. “Unlike the previous Rat year, Snake’s work will be rewarded.” Great news! But of course, there is a catch: “Don’t allow Ox’s stubborn influence to make Snake unreasonable or demanding.” Be aware of how you approach difficult subjects and how you handle certain relationships. Consult Western astrology to understand your biggest fears, according to your zodiac sign.

Horse
Birth years of the Horse: 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014

Next year of the Horse: 2026

The past year was a difficult one for everyone, but the Horse especially. That is because, according to Levitt, the Rat is the Horse’s natural opposite. The Ox, however, won’t be as hostile toward you. “Horse can succeed by maintaining more control in personal interactions,” she says, noting, “although, romance can be problematic.” The Horse is easily excitable, but the Ox is more even-keeled and steady. Respect that and you will do well in 2021. See what Western astrology has to say about romantic compatibility between the zodiac signs.

Goat (or Sheep)
Birth years of the Goat: 1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003, 2015

Next year of the Goat: 2027

Just as the year of the Rat was difficult for the Horse, the same will be true of Sheep in an Ox year. “It can be a challenging year for Sheep because Ox is opposite Sheep in the 12 animal cycle,” Levitt explains. “If Sheep cannot create new opportunities and has to perform what might be considered repetitive or mundane tasks, stay with the program and don’t allow your finances or morale to be low. Instead, it’s time to develop structure, reduce clutter, and stay focused.” Ox is a simple, straightforward creature. Start your year by organizing yourself, both literally in the home and figuratively in life. Try using these 14 things feng shui experts place in their homes for good health.

Monkey
Birth years of the Monkey: 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016

Next year of the Monkey: 2028

The Monkey is clever; some might say scheming. More devoted to play than work, the Monkey will try to sidestep the Ox wherever possible. “There can be difficulties that force Monkey to restrain their ambitions,” Levitt says. “If Monkey wants to avoid Ox’s demand for hard work, then they can do that if they go through a messenger or liaison. Monkey’s wit and winning personality will help save the day for the Monkey.” It is not recommended that you refuse the Ox’s call for dedicated labor, but you may have some luck in doing just that if you play your cards right and enlist the help of another zodiac sign. Love Chinese astrology? Read up on the history behind Chinese New Year.

Rooster
Birth years of the Rooster: 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, 2017

Next year of the Rooster: 2029

The upcoming year will be most fortunate for the Rooster, as its values most closely align with those of the Ox. As Chinese zodiac signs go, these two are highly compatible, mainly because Rooster is already used to working hard on a daily basis. “Ox offers the stability, faithfulness, and sincerity that Roosters like,” Levitt says. “You can be happy, triumphant, and recover from the previous Rat year difficulties. You’ll work hard under Ox’s influence, but success is foreseen.” Stay true to your nature and this year will be better than the last. Reward yourself with great food and fun in one of the 12 best Chinatowns in America.

Dog
Birth years of the Dog: 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, 2018

Next year of the Dog: 2030

Unlike the Rooster, the Dog might not be so lucky in 2021. “For the Dog in the Ox year, there could be some minor problems,” Levitt says. This is due to a difference in perspective: While Ox prefers to stay the course, Dog favors trying new things. “Dog fights for the underdog,” Levitt explains. “[Their] revolutionary ideas and altruistic concepts could be challenged.” Dog people are likely to meet resistance in the year of the Metal Ox.

Pig (or Boar)
Birth years of the Pig: 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, 2019

Next year of the Pig: 2031

Luck will be on the side of the Pig as long as they abide by Ox’s rules. “It’s a good and harmonious year when Pigs’ efforts are appreciated,” Levitt says. “There could be opportunities for career advancement, although Pig must adopt Ox’s strong work ethic.” Pig people are naturally realistic and goal-oriented, which fits in well with the Ox’s love for pragmatism. Remain diligent in your efforts and good fortune will come! Looking for the perfect present? Don’t miss our gift guide for every Zodiac sign.

2020 Leo New Moon begins Monkey Month

August 15, 2020 § 1 Comment

August 18 2020 at 7:42 pm PDT is a new Moon in Leo. Fire sign Leo rules the fifth house of creativity, self expression, and children. The new Moon, Sun, and Mercury are all in Leo, bringing creativity, passion, and excitement. The new Moon, Sun, and Mercury also trine Mars in Aries for strength, stamina, and courage.

This new Moon begins Wood Monkey lunar month until September 16. Monkey is a favored sign of the Chinese zodiac, and Monkey month is considered fortunate, especially in a Rat year. Monkey is ingenious, mercurial, and a natural leader. The element Wood symbolizes new growth and expansion, making Wood Monkey growth-oriented, creative, and idealistic. There’s increased confidence to speak your mind and make bold plans. If you were considering a new path, now it the time to plan or launch under the influence of Wood Monkey.

However, even with Wood Monkey’s enthusiast and pioneering spirit, Mars squares Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. There could be obstacles in your path, or a need to slow down to address details. There can be creative transformation, but also power struggles and disagreements with people going to extremes. Contact me for your tarot or astrology reading for clarity.

The Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto conjunction (blended together) in Capricorn continues, placing focus on financial and political issues. All three of these planets are retrograde, adding to the intensity.

Opportunities for breakthroughs and forging a new path are for all, and are most life changing for Fire signs Leo, Sagittarius, and Aries and those born in Monkey, Rat, Dragon, and Snake years.

Happy new Moon,

Susan
