2017 Cancer Full Moon

January 9, 2017 § 4 Comments

January 12 2017 is a full Moon in Cancer. Water sign Cancer is the mother figure and nurturer of the zodiac. So use the coming two weeks as the Moon wanes to take care of yourself, especially by eating healthy food. Plus Cancer rules the fourth house of family, home, and roots making the next two weeks ideal to clean your home and prepare for Chinese New Year that starts on the new Moon on January 27.

People could feel frustrated by the configuration of a grand cardinal cross of the full Moon in cardinal Water sign Cancer opposite Sun and Pluto in cardinal Earth sign Capricorn, and squaring Jupiter in cardinal Air sign Libra, and squaring Uranus in cardinal Fire sign Aries. Cardinal signs are active and goal oriented. Under the influence of this grand cross, there could be delays, or a sense of being in the doldrums with nothing new, and it’s more of a challenge to get things done. Mars in Pisces squares Saturn in Sagittarius making it necessary to be thorough and cautious.

Fortunately, Venus, Mars, and Neptune are conjunct in Pisces for increased empathy and sensitivity. Venus conjunct Mars is especially good for enjoying social times, appreciation of art and beauty, increase of sex drive and passion, and involvement in creative work.

    Hi Susan

I am scheduled for a full hysterectomy and removal of some lymph nodes on January 23, 2017. My bithdate is April 16, 1963. I am very torn as to which planets are most important to take into consideration, since there isn’t a “perfect” date so I am searching for an “excellent” date to avoid any complications!
I can change it to the 25 or 26th or 27th if necessary.
Any suggestions? I’d sincerely appreciate your advice to ease my mind and stress less level.

    Thank you very much!

    • Susan Levitt says:

      Dear Anna,
Jan 23 is good, as are Jan 25, 26, or 27. All are fortunate.
So go with whatever date you like.

      • Anna says:

Thank you so much for your advice. Is Good Better than the Fortunate dates?

I’ve been reading about the Moon in Sag not being so great for surgery, especially since it is squaring transiting Mars and Venus AND conjunct transiting Saturn. It also squares my natal Venus, Uranus and Pluto; even though it trines my natal Sun, Mars and Jupiter.

Should I schedule it for the 25th when the Moon is in Capricorn, which trines or sextiles almost all of the transiting and natal planets, except it squares my natal Sun and Jupiter in Aries and Conjuncts my natal Moon, which I’ve read you shouldnt have surgery when the moon is in the same sign as when you were born.

The 27th shows one of the best signs for surgery, when the moon is in Aquarius, but that opposes my natal Mars, squares my Mercury and conjuncts my Saturn.

So confused, but thinking the 25th Moon in Capricorn may be the least of all evils??

Any additional advice would be sincerely appreciated, since you can tell i cant determine which planets (besides Mercury and Mars) are going to have the most impact.

Thank you so much for your help!!

I can see how this would become a vicious cycle, but I am just not sure which planets are more important for a successful outcome and speedy recovery.

        With sincere appreciation,
        Annamarie. Birthdate: 4/16/1963

      • Susan Levitt says:

        Dear Annamarie,

You are fortunate to be able to pick your surgery date, so go with the date you like best, even tho all are good.
If you are most comfortable with Fri Jan 27, then take that date and schedule in the morning.
On Friday, the later in the afternoon the more workers are looking forward to ending their work week.

Focus on having a good place to rest and recuperate.
