2016 Sagittarius New Moon begins Rat Month

November 26, 2016 § Leave a comment

white-ratNovember 29 2016 is a new Moon in Sagittarius. Fire sign Sagittarius is quick, decisive, and can cover much ground. The new Moon, Sun, Mercury, and Saturn are all in Sagittarius making this month the time for action, activity, and travel — especially before Mercury goes retrograde on December 19.

Mars in Aquarius trines Jupiter in Libra, a lucky aspect for business success and decision making. The new Moon sextiles Mars and Jupiter to work well independently or with groups. Plus Mercury trines Uranus in Aries for new ideas, inspiration, and broad vision.

Mars and Jupiter sextile Saturn, bringing the ability for careful planning and diligence. These are traits of the Rat in Chinese astrology, and this new Moon begins the month of the Metal Rat. You can build on your current foundation. Rat month is fortunate in this Monkey year because Rat and Monkey are most compatible, along with Dragon. And financial transactions are favorable in a Metal month because Metal represents money.

Relationship dynamics intensify as Venus conjuncts Pluto in Capricorn. There could be power struggles with partners, or conflict about money and spending. The Venus and Pluto conjunction squares Jupiter and Uranus that can bring a tendency to over extend during these last two months of Fire Monkey year.

The Sun and new Moon conjunct Saturn to focus on details and responsibilities to fulfill your obligations. It’s good for organizing and to complete unfinished matters under the influence of cautious and clever Rat. The Sun and new Moon square Neptune in Pisces so if discouraged or overwhelmed, accomplish tasks in small bites. That is how Rat succeeds, by systematically nibbling away until the goal is attained.

Luck is strongest for Fire signs Sagittarius, Aries, and Leo and those born in Rat, Ox, Dragon, and Monkey years. Call me in San Francisco at 415.642.8019 or email susan@susanlevitt.com to schedule your tarot, astrology, or feng shui consultation.

Lost Crystals

November 12, 2016 § Leave a comment

A tarot student asked my advice about crystals. He purchased two amethyst crystals and a clear quartz. He lost one of the amethysts while out with a friend on Halloween weekend. Then during the first week of November, he misplaced the other two crystals. So he did a one-card reading about this, and pulled the Death card. He very rarely gets the Death card so was challenged about how to interpret this.

Because of the Death card, the crystals are gone and are not coming back. He won’t find them. But to let go and be respectful, he can psychically tell the crystals to be found by someone who appreciates them, or that they can be content where they landed. The Death card could also mean that he is just not a crystal guy. He can be supportive of just leaving crystals in the ground, not making them one more object of beauty we humans take from the earth because they benefit us.

If he gets another crystal, he can have an intuitive chat before he purchases it to see if the crystal wants to be with him, and be of service during tarot readings. Then take very good care of it! Maybe it’s not the best idea to take it out when socializing, or his next crystal can be in a ring or necklace so it’s worn on the body to enhance connection, and is easier to keep track of.

Introduction to Tarot by Susan Levitt

Crystals are highly evolved minerals and are very sensitive. Their sensitivity sets them apart from other rocks. Clear quartz brings clarity, and correlates to the 7th chakra also called the crown chakra. Amethyst crystal aids in opening the third eye to develop psychic vision, and correlates to the 6th chakra. Information about tarot and crystals is in my book Introduction To Tarot on pages 219, 220, and 221.

I understand why a student would want these tools for his tarot readings. But in this instance, the Death card prevailed and the crystals went their own way!

Keep reading your cards,

2016 Taurus Full Moon

November 11, 2016 § 1 Comment

November 14 2106 is a full Moon in sensuous Earth sign Taurus. Taurus is ruled by Venus, the planet of love, art, and creativity. Venus is unaspected during this full Moon, so create good fortune by cultivating Venus activities of appreciation of beauty, enjoying fine food, and cultivating good companionship.

Jupiter, Uranus, and Pluto make a cardinal T-square resulting in some confusion about where to go and what to do. Jupiter in Libra opposite Uranus in fiery Aries brings desire for freedom with no one telling you what to do, but that can cause problems in romantic relationships or with business colleagues. Jupiter square Pluto in Capricorn brings ambition, but achievement could be blocked by those in positions of power. Uranus square Pluto allows the falling away of issues from the past that restrict you, but you might not have a choice about it.

Fortunately, Jupiter sextile Saturn in Sagittarius inspires clear planning to turn ideals into reality. Mercury in Sagittarius sextile Mars in Aquarius helps to express your individuality and defend your viewpoint. Plus Saturn trine Uranus creaties balance of old and new, with a sense of patience and discipline.

Opportunities for growth and change can happen quickly, especially for Earth signs Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn. Call me at 415.642.8019 or email susan@susanlevitt.com to schedule your tarot reading, astrology forecast, or feng shui consultation.
