Two-horsesHORSE MONTH

June 4, 2016 at 7:59 pm PT is a new Moon that begins the month of the Wood Horse. Horse is a yang power animal that matches the energy of this yang Fire Monkey year. Horse is free spirited, independent, and brave. The element Wood brings growth, inspiration, and development. Horse’s earthly branch is Fire, and Wood feeds Fire. All of this is very fortunate. Plus Horse month is excellent for travel, especially short trips.

This Horse month is the time to go for it and pursue goals. Charge ahead and reflect later, a strategy that works well in this risk-taking Monkey year. If you are unable to harness your power and make fast progress in Horse month, another window of opportunity for action will be in August, a Fire Monkey month in Fire Monkey year.

GEMINI NEW MOON

This June 4 new Moon is in the mercurial, fast, and agile Air sign Gemini. This new Moon is in close conjunction with the Sun and Venus. These three planets together bring love, beauty, grace, and charm.

But these three planets in Gemini are part of a grand mutable square with Jupiter in Virgo, Saturn in Sagittarius, and Neptune in Pisces. This can bring out the chaotic side of Horse, or the mutable attributes of Gemini. Energy can become overwhelming if you pursue too many ideas (Jupiter), take on too many obligations (Saturn), or chase too many dreams (Neptune).

Plus Mercury in Taurus is opposite Mars in Scorpio for stubborn communication. Fortunately, there is a grand Earth trine between Mercury, Jupiter, and Pluto to keep things grounded. And with all this new energy, call me at 415.642.8019 in San Francisco or email susan@susanlevitt.com to schedule your tarot, astrology, or feng shui consultation.

Happy new Moon,

Susan

A BLUE FULL MOON?

May 21, 2016 § 2 Comments

full moonlight

A Blue Moon is 2 full Moons in one month of the Gregorian calendar. So the May 21 full Moon in Sagittarius is not a Blue Moon according to that definition.

But an older interpretation of a Blue Moon is 4 full Moons during a solar cycle (between an Equinox and a Solstice, or between a Solstice and an Equinox).

Now is the 4th full Moon between Spring Equinox on March 19 and Summer Solstice on June 20 in 2016, so this does qualify as a Blue Moon in the older astronomical meaning.

Happy full Moon!

FULL MOON in SAGITTARIUS

May 21 2016 at 2:14 pm PT is a full Moon in Sagittarius. Fire sign Sagittarius rules the ninth house of travel, adventure, and learning. Sagittarius is the truth seeker and truth teller of the zodiac.

This full Moon is exactly conjunct Mars newly in fiery Sagittarius. This adds strength to feelings and emotions. Plus this full Moon marks the peak of Snake month. You are in your power to quickly move on and shed skins of the past. Many planets are in mutable signs so change is easier.

The Sun, newly in Gemini, conjuncts Venus in Taurus. This is healing for relationships. But Sun and Venus are opposite the full Moon and Mars. Fortunately, Sun conjunct Venus can help calm irritability, and smooth over communication problems. Mercury goes direct on May 22, but we can still feel this mercurial influence until the next new Moon on June 4 that begins a new life cycle.

Very fortunate on this full Moon is a grand Earth trine of Mercury in Taurus, Jupiter in Virgo, and Pluto in Capricorn. This is opportune for career advancement, networking and new contacts open doors, and health and finances can improve.

But Jupiter is opposite Neptune and squares Saturn in a mutable T-square. Goals could be unrealistic, patience and discipline are avoided, and for some a relationship may have outlived its usefulness.

Under the light of this Sagittarian full Moon, you can discover what is true and plan for your next adventure! Call me at 415.642.8019 in San Francisco or email susan@susanlevitt.com to schedule your tarot, astrology, or feng shui consultation.

Full Moon vigor is most strongly experienced by the Fire signs Sagittarius, Aries, and Leo and those born in Rat, Dragon, and Monkey years.

Happy full Moon,

Susan

Taurus bull kissNEW MOON in TAURUS

May 6, 2016 at 12:29 pm is a new Moon in sensual Earth sign Taurus. The new Moon, Sun, Mercury, and Venus are all in Taurus. Plus Taurus is ruled by Venus, the planet named after the Goddess of love, beauty, and fertility.

This new Moon, Sun, Mercury, and Venus create a grand Earth trine with Jupiter in Virgo and Pluto in Capricorn. This is extremely fortunate, especially for business. You can stay strong in your goals and convictions, and quickly cover much ground.

Do not be discouraged by planets in retrograde Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto. In this Fire Monkey year, just move right through.

MONTH of the SNAKE

This new Moon begins the month of the Water Snake. This is fortunate because Snake is a close ally with Monkey. Snake loves beauty and is a connoisseur of what life has to offer.

This lunar month is the time to shed skins of the past. Become a new you this springtime, loosen up, and join the Monkey fun! Get rid of all clutter with a spring cleaning in any part of your life that needs it.

Luck is strongest for Earth signs Taurus, Capricorn, and Virgo and those born in Snake, Ox, Phoenix (Rooster), and Monkey years. Contact me at 415.642.8019 in San Francisco or email susan@susanlevitt.com to schedule your tarot, astrology, or feng shui consultation.

Happy new Moon,
