August 29, 2015 at 11:35 am PT is a full Moon in spiritual Water sign Pisces. Empathy is increased as this full Moon conjuncts Neptune. People are more aware of their emotions, and the emotions of others. Plus there is more sensitivity to your surroundings.
The lucky aspect of Sun conjunct Jupiter brings optimism, and a clear viewpoint to balance any doubt. Sun conjunct Jupiter is fortunate for planning and seeing the big picture. Projects can come to together as this lunar cycle wanes.
Also fortunate is Venus conjunct Mars. People are happy together so this weekend is a superb time for socializing, romance, and enjoying all things artistic. More luck is that Venus and Mars in Fire sign Leo trine Uranus in Aries. There can be sudden good fortune and opportunities, especially now during the peak of this Monkey month. Monkey has the courage to be free of inhibitions and find a new way.
This Pisces full Moon cycle is an excellent time for divination of all kinds. Intuitive luck is strong for everyone, and is most powerfully felt by the Water signs Pisces, Cancer, and Scorpio. August 14, 2015 at 7:53 am PT is a NEW MOON IN LEO. The Sun, new Moon, Venus, and Mars are all in creative Fire sign Leo for luck in love, and strength for new endeavors. Plus the Sun and new Moon conjunct expansive Jupiter that’s opportune for career development, travel experiences, and expanding your circle.
Also fortunate is Sun, new Moon, and Venus trine Uranus in fiery Aries. Doors can open, and the pace of life quickens. But note that Sun, new Moon, and Jupiter square Saturn so people can feel impatient. No one wants to be told what to do. Mercury in Virgo is opposite Neptune, and trines Pluto, not the best aspect for long-term decision making but good for sudden mercurial insights.
Very helpful is that Mars trines Saturn to get energy moving, and get work done, especially since this new Moon begins the lunar month of WOOD MONKEY. During active Monkey month there can be fun, excitement, and fast luck for everyone.
This autumn can be like a second springtime of growth, activity, and opportunities especially for Fire signs Leo, Sagittarius, and Aries and those born in Monkey, Rat, and Dragon years. Call me in San Francisco at 415.642.8019 or email email@example.com to schedule your tarot, astrology, or feng shui consultation.
Happy new Moon,

Western astrology is structured on solar cycles. Asian astrology is structured on lunar cycles. By following both natural systems, the yang solar calendar and the yin lunar calendar, we can flow with the eternal cycles of nature because we are nature.
MAJOR SOLAR HOLIDAYS
The Western solar year starts with zero degrees Aries at Spring Equinox. Each of the 12 astrology signs cover 30 degrees. All 12 signs times 30 degrees = the 360 degree circle of the zodiac. The four major calendar points of the solar year are:
SPRING EQUINOX (Vernal Equinox) Equal day and equal night.
The Sun enters cardinal Fire sign Aries.
SUMMER SOLSTICE The longest day in the northern hemisphere.
The Sun enters cardinal Water sign Cancer.
AUTUMN EQUINOX Again equal day and equal night.
The Sun enters cardinal Air sign Libra.
WINTER SOLSTICE The longest night in the northern hemisphere.
The Sun enters cardinal Earth sign Capricorn.
All four elements Fire, Water, Air, and Earth are highlighted at these 4 solar points. These dates are usually the 21st of March, June, September, and December but not always because the Gregorian calendar is irregular. Months are different lengths, and there is a leap year.
MINOR SOLAR HOLIDAYS
Four minor solar holidays mark the mid points between the Equinoxes and Solstices:
CANDLEMAS (Imbolc) on February 2 marks the midpoint between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. Animals awaken after winter hibernation, hence Groundhog Day for augury from the movement of animals.
MAY DAY on May 1, also called Beltane, marks the point between Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice. This spring festival represents the Maiden aspect of the Maiden-Mother-Crone Goddess.
LAMMAS on August 2, also called Lughnasad, marks the point between Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox. Lammas is a Mother Goddess (and grain God) harvest festival.
HALLOWEEN on October 31, also called Hallomas, marks the point between Autumn Equinox and Winter Solstice. Halloween, the most popular minor Solar holiday, is close to November 2 Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos). Both Halloween and Day of the Dead celebrate the Crone aspect of the Goddess.
Wishing you happy Lammas,

The NEW MOON on July 15 began the month of the Water Sheep in Wood Sheep year. This is auspicious because Water is the mother of Wood, meaning Water helps Wood (plants) to grown. Sheep are artistic souls who cherish beauty and value the finer things in life. Under the influence of double Sheep, life can be more beautiful and fulfilling. Sheep care about the quality of life.
On August 1, Saturn turned direct after being retrograde since March 14. There will be fewer obstacles in your path. Build on the foundation you’ve already established. Uranus is retrograde, the planet of rebellion and change, so be open to experiment and to vary your routine. Uranus went retrograde on July 16, and goes direct on December 25, so there’s time to resolve old problems, heal resentment, and learn from past patterns or mistakes. Sometimes a change of scenery does the trick for a new vision. There can be sudden breakthroughs of perception, especially for Air signs Aquarius, Gemini, and Libra and those born in Tiger, Horse, and Dog years.
Plus love planet Venus retrogrades back into Leo until mid October, so time to express yourself. Leo loves drama and romance. Important relationships become stronger, although weaker ones may fall by the wayside. Neptune is retrograde until November 18. Neptune in Water sign Pisces is a natural fit for the planet named after the God of the Ocean. Pluto is still retrograde in Capricorn until September 24. Under the influence of Earth sign Capricorn, focus can be on materialistic or practical matters.
NEW MOON in LEO begins MONKEY MONTH
The new Moon on August 14 at 7:53 am PT beings the month of the Wood Monkey, the lively green Monkey. Pace of life quickens, and anything can happen as this new Moon trines Uranus in Aries. Sun, Moon, and Venus are conjunct bringing luck in love.
For Monkey month in Sheep year, start to prepare now for Fire Monkey year 2016. Use the remainder of gentle and scholarly Sheep year to balance the eight limbs of Chinese medicine, each branch as important as the branches of a tree. When Monkey year arrives February 8/9 you can jump to any branch and succeed — or if delayed, then spend some time in Monkey year balancing the weakest limb.
All eight limbs of Chinese medicine work together to create good health: feng shui, astrology, herbology, exercise (tai chi, chi kung), meditation, diet, massage, and acupuncture. Feng shui is one of the eight limbs of Chinese medicine to heal in a calm, peaceful environment that helps us to rest, relax, and restore our vital energies. Here is a Monkey tale about a messy, chaotic environment:
I went to my neighbor’s apartment to check out a drain on the roof of the building. He said, “Give me a few minutes” then ran around putting away clothes, making the bed, and generally clean up. (Many people have done this, a quick tidy-up before entering with someone new.)
If you live like this, then do your tidying up before you leave your home and office. Especially at work, don’t leave a mess over the weekend. Then you won’t arrive at home or work to yesterday’s mess. Stop mess before it builds is my advice for Wood Monkey month in Wood Sheep year. There’s lots of Wood so you want something to do.
If your environment is balanced, note the branch that needs some love! For me right now it’s massage and acupuncture. Develop the branch that is the weakest to be a strong point that helps you succeed in Fire Monkey year. This lunar Monkey month gives us a preview of Monkey energy.
FULL MOON in PISCES
August 29 at 11:35 am PT is a full Moon in sensitive and spiritual Water sign Pisces. (I know; I’m a Pisces.) Time for reflection, peace, and healing. Empathy is increased as people are more tuned into their feelings, and to the emotions of others. Full Moon conjuncts Neptune to follow your intuition. Answers can arrive in dreams.
It is fortunate to get to a body of water, or take a long bath. And an excellent time for divination! Luck is strongest for the Water signs Pisces, Cancer, and Scorpio. Call me in San Francisco at 415.642.8019 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule your tarot, astrology, or feng shui consultation.
